Hi, I am TRYING to fix my friends computer and ive found out that It has a corrupt registry and cannot boot. This is the information I have got :

Then it just stays there and loads nothing else.

When Choosing 'Last Known Good Configuration'

And then I burned a cd to check

I selected 'View diagnostic and repair details' and theres a lot in there but the most important was :

Root cause found :

Registry is corrupt.

I also used command Prompt to :

1. Copy the files : System, Sam, Default, Security and Software in C:WindowsSystem32Config to C:Windowstmp (folder that i made)

2. Delete those files

3. Copy those files from C:C:WindowsSystem32ConfigRegback to C:WindowsSystem32Config
